SUNAT develops anti-bribery mecanism
Within the framework of the National Policy to fight corruption and Law No. 29816, Law to Strengthen SUNAT, said body has been implementing anti-bribery management mechanisms to guarantee integrity and transparency in the exercise of its functions within the entity. and with effects on taxpayers, as a result of the performance of their tasks of inspection, collection, determination and sanction of tax obligations.
By virtue of this, the Tax Administration has approved the respective policies in order to guarantee that its activities can continue to be carried out with integrity and transparency, guaranteeing the effectiveness and efficiency of the tasks assigned to it, as well as the confidentiality of the information due to suspicions or facts that contravene the aforementioned policy.
The Office for Ethical Strengthening and the Fight against Corruption – OFELCCOR is the body in charge of SUNAT to implement the aforementioned management system, promoting the appropriate performance of the Tax Administration officials in the exercise of their functions, as well as support in their orientation, supervision and internal control.
The aforementioned provisions have been approved through Superintendency Resolution No. 052-2019/SUNAT; which approves the Institutional Plan for Integrity and Fight against Corruption and Superintendence Resolutions No. 167-168-2019/SUNAT, which approves SUNAT’s anti-bribery policy, as well as the implementation of management systems linked to it . The preferred devices are valid from March 14 and August 28, 2019.
